2017 has been a great year for games – though Star Wars Battlefront 2 has arguably been a little bit disappointing for some fans. However, there is plenty to look forward to in 2018 to keep you guessing and keep you on your toes. Here are some of the top picks for the new year:
- We Happy Few. Based in a dystopian future, this game is rooted in stories like 1984 and Brave New World. It was first released in 2016 but didn’t really meet with fans’ expectations, with only a survival mode. Now it has been revamped and is looking exciting.
- Yakuza 6: Song of Life. The Yakuza series is really starting to branch out now and reach a wider audience. There is just as much attention to detail and the storyline is enthralling.
- A Way Out. Showcased at E3 2017, this title gained enormous interest. It is based on split-screen gaming, and exactly how this will work remains to be seen.
