Gaming giants Microsoft have clarified its monetisation policies for streaming on their consoles – Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Updating their Game Content Usage Rules, it’s been confirmed that gamers can now capture and stream content on websites like YouTube.
“You may make your Item available on YouTube or Twitch and participate in programmes on those sites that allow you to earn revenue from ads displayed in connection with your Item,” the post reads.”
Although, Microsoft did also add that users cannot monetise their content through paid applications and/or on a site which would require a subscription. The rules for Minecraft are different, and have their own set of rules available to read online.
