Good news, Halo 5: Guardians gamers, as you will have the chance to download all of the additional maps which release after the game.
The studio head of 343 has confirmed this news, saying the following:
“When you have paid map packs and content, you divide the player base into two groups: the haves and the have-nots. The people that have the map pack can play together but the people who don’t cannot.
That to us is a real problem. So we’re delivering all the maps to all players free so everybody will be able to play together. That, we feel, is really important to having a great multiplayer ecosystem.” (Josh Holmes, 343)
Of course the game is set to release in October 2015, so there’s a long wait with the maps being available to download around July 2016 time. The game will launch with 20 maps, so you’ll have plenty of fun before the other 15 release.
